Welcome to Avery Township:

Avery Township is located just east of Atlanta, MI, between Gaylord and Alpena. This is a quiet community with many opportunites to view nature and wildlife. We are located in Montmorency County, home of the largest elk herd in the eastern United States.

The township hall is located at the corner of McMurphy and Airport Roads, one mile south of M-32. Office hours are from 8:30 to 11:30 on Tuesday Mornings.
